LARGE RETROPERITONEAL ABSCESS- DIAGNOSTIC DILEMMA BUT SUCCESSFUL MANAGEMENT- A CASE REPORT

Abstract

PRESENTATION OF CASE History of Present Illness A 65-year-old gentleman was admitted on 22-02-2018 with chief complaints of intractable diarrhoea with abdominal distension, fever with low back pain and painful right inguinal swelling with other constitutional symptoms like bodyache, myalgia, lethargy and anorexia- developed over past 3 weeks. Initially, the patient was treated by local physician, but there was no improvement. The patient was a known smoker and alcoholic.
