Layered Hybrid of Mo (VI)-Oxide Based On Electron-Rich Phenanthroline Organic
Journal Title: Physical Science & Biophysics Journal - Year 2017, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
We have prepared three-dimensional framework of covalently bonded layers of inorganic oxide containing Moister linked by electron-rich organic ligands. The structure of MoO3-(3, 8-phenanthroline) 0.5 consists of corner-sharing of {MoO5N} octahedral. Raman spectra correlate very well to the structural data and illustrate the subtle choice of the ligands used can affect the vibration characteristics of the Mo-O bonds. Magnetization measurements indicate the susceptibility only changes slightly with temperature in the high temperature region above 50 K, an indication of a Pauli paramagnetic metallic behaviour. The increase in the electronic density-of-state due to the electron-rich organic spacer is further confirmed by heat capacity measurement on pressed pellet samples where the electronic specific heat, , is much higher as compared to the bipyridyl counterpart.

2D Electric resistivity imaging and Induced polarization (IP) techniques were used to characterize Iron Ore deposit at Diddaye-Potiskum area of Yobe State, Northeastern Nigeria. The area lies between latitudes 110 46' 0...
Wave Motion in a Medium for Sound
Expressions are obtained for the wavelength and frequency of a sound wave in air and a light wave in space, emitted from a source moving with speed u, relative to an observer moving with speed v. The speed w of sound in...
Both the Phase Modulation and Frequency Shift Evaluation on Laser
Sinusoidal phase-modulated signal light through the interferometer can produce a beat signal. Moreover, its amplitude monotonically changes with the signal light frequency. So the beat signal amplitude can be used to me...
EPR-Proton Qubits’ Role in Evolution and Age-Related
Earth’s surface acquired necessary life-giving volatile elements carbon, nitrogen, and sulfur from a collision with a Mercury-like planetary embryo ~ 4.4 billion y ago. Icy comets containing hydrocarbons collided with a...
