LEADERSHIP IN COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION: ACTUALITY, ESSENCE, COMPONENTS

Abstract
The article deals with problems of implementing the theory and practice of leadership in school management. Modern concepts of leadership were analyzed and the possibility of their usage in educational practice was determined. Participatory approach was proposed to be considered as being the most appropriate one to the goals and objectives of school functioning. Considering that leadership the result of cooperation and interaction of many people, the trial to determine the major components of educational leadership model is implemented. They are peculiar guide for head teachers who aspire to implement leadership in management of an institution.
