Abstract
Islam lays utmost emphasis on family life which starts with a sacred bond of marriage. Family is the first institution for children where he or she learns about life. Therefore, for building a good nation children should be raised properly with the values and teachings of Islam. Islam ensures the rights and responsibilities of each member of a family which should be given priority for building a peaceful world. There has been used analytical method where the collected data have been critically reviewed to explore rights and responsibilities of family in Islam. ইসলাম পারিবারিক জীবনের উপর সর্বাধিক গুরুত্বারোপ করে থাকে। পারিবারিক জীবন পবিত্র বিবাহ বন্ধনের মাধ্যমে শুরু হয়। একটি শিশুর জীবনে পরিবার হল প্রথম প্রতিষ্ঠান যেখানে সে জীবন সম্পর্কে শিক্ষা গ্রহণ করে থাকে। সুতরাং একটি ভাল জাতি গঠনের জন্য শিশুকে যথাযথভাবে ইসলামী মূল্যবোধ এবং আদর্শে দীক্ষিত করে লালন-পালন করতে হবে। ইসলাম পরিবারের সকল সদস্যের অধিকার ও কর্তব্য নির্ধারণ করেছে। যা বাস্তবায়নের মাধ্যমে শান্তিপূর্ণ পৃথিবী নিশ্চিত করা সম্ভব। এ প্রবন্ধে বিশ্লেষণমূলক পদ্ধতি ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে যেখানে ইসলামের দৃষ্টিতে পরিবারের সদস্যগণের অধিকার ও দায়িত্ব-কর্তব্য অবগত হওয়ার জন্য সংগৃহীত তথ্য-উপাত্তের সূক্ষ্ম পর্যালোচনা বিধৃত হয়েছে।
