LEGAL MAP OF THE WORLD: TYPES OF LEGAL SYSTEMS

Abstract
To make different legal systems more available for a scientific analysis and to determine their status among other legal systems the classification is used. The fact that various legal systems have common features allows to classity them among themselves or divide into individual groups or legal families. There have been analyzed different classification criteria of legal systems which were formulated by different authors. It was proposed to mark out the main criteria as to the typology of the state – ideological component – legal awareness and legal culture of a society, based on which Romanic – German and Anglo-American Laws are marked out and also two independent families (types) of Religious and Traditional Laws.
