Journal Title: Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal - Year 2024, Vol 18, Issue 2

Abstract

Performance refers to any educational task or evaluation in which students are required to perform in order to show their skill, knowledge, and understanding. Performance-based tasks produce a measurable output and/or performance that can be used as proof of learning. If these learning gaps will not be given direct attention it will lead to serious problems like the students will be left behind in their classes and cannot identify the proper materials and tools which is the fundamental knowledge and skills needed in their area of specialization. The intention of the study is to bring valuable contribution to the quality of education that the school provides. One of these is to increase the performance of the EIM learners, another was to create a basis for skills enhancement training. The study utilized the descriptive-correlational research design. The 265 students from various schools in Iligan City who were enrolled in Electrical Installation and Maintenance in Grades 11 and 12 made up the study's sample. According to the study's findings , academic performance and each competency indicator variable had a statistical correlation. Students' academic performance was predicted by variables such as their sex as well as their knowledge of electrical tools and materials.
