LEXICAL SEMANTIC FIELD “WATER TRANSPORT VESSEL” IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE: MORPHOLOGICAL ASPECT

Abstract
The given article deals with the investigation of the morphological peculiarities of the elements of the lexical semantic field “water transport vessel” in the English language. Word formation processes in the English language are being viewed;morphological features of the studied nominations are being analyzed. The research showed that the most productive word formation patterns in the names of water transport vessels are Vtr / intr + er, N + er. Structural peculiarities of composite nominations have also been studied.
