LEXIS OF PAVLO TYCHYNA’S COLLECTION «SUNNY CLARINETS»

Abstract
In the article for the first time in domestic linguistics the vocabulary of the poetic collection of Pavlo Tychyna «Sunny Clarinets» has become the subject of complex analysis. The vocabulary features are systemically analyzed; the contextual features of lexemes usage in the poems have been traced; the classification of the vocabulary used in the first poetic collection of Pavlo Tychyna, according to its meaning, morphological identity and origin, has been carried out; the role of Pavlo Tychyna in enriching the artistic style of the Ukrainian language has been clarified; the ratio of specific and borrowed elements has been determined; a wide combination of the features of artistic and other functional styles of the Ukrainian language (especially the religious style) has been revealed; the system of occasional features in the poetic language, which influenced the further development of the poetic vocabulary in the Ukrainian literature, has been singled out. The analysis of the vocabulary of poetic language allows to deepen the knowledge about the language of Ukrainian literature of the first decades of the 20th century and to trace the peculiarities of new creation, symbol creation and metaphorics in the vocabulary of the first collection of Pavlo Tychyna, to distinguish the most characteristic features of the idiostyle of the author of «Sunny Clarinets» in particular, and the features of the poetic vocabulary of Ukrainian literature of the first half of the 20th century in general. Conceptual provisions outlined in the article deepen the theory of stylistics and broaden the understanding of the nature of the linguistic features of the artistic style of speech. The conclusions and generalizations of the research extend the notion of the linguistic peculiarities of Ukrainian poetry in the first half of the 20th century, and enrich the knowledge on the history of the development of the Ukrainian literary language of the corresponding time.
