L’influence de la langue et de la culture sur l’être humain sur l’exemple du profil relationnel de l’homme dans Le volontaire et l’involontaire de Paul Ricoeur
Journal Title: Ruch Filozoficzny - Year 2016, Vol 72, Issue 4
Abstract
The paper attempts to outline the mutual impact between philosophy and linguistics on the example of an analysis of a text entitled Le volontaire et l’involontairewritten by a French philosopher Paul Ricoeur. The research method used originates from cultural linguistics and cognitive linguistics. A special emphasis is placed on the relationship profile in the analysis of man. Consequently, the paper distinguishes the following human relationship profiles : MAN IN RELATION TO ANOTHER, MAN IN RELATION TO TIME and MAN IN RELATION TO LANGUAGE. The profiles distinguished in the paper prove that man is formed by external influences exerted by other people, events from the past, present and future, and the language and culture one happens to live in.
