Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2024, Vol 3, Issue 12
Abstract
This article examines the linguistic features of collocations involving English nouns and their equivalents in Uzbek. The study explores the structural, semantic, and pragmatic aspects of collocations, providing a comparative analysis of their realization in both languages. Two illustrative tables highlight common noun-based collocations in English and their corresponding expressions in Uzbek, focusing on translation strategies and cultural nuances. The findings demonstrate the challenges of achieving equivalence and the importance of context in rendering meaning accurately.
