«LITTLE LIBRARY»: ENGLISH CHILDREN’S BOOK IN THE VORONTSOV BOOK COLLECTION

Abstract
The article deals with English children’s books as a part of the Vorontsov collection stored in the Scientific Library of the Odessa National Mechnikov University. Different kinds of publications for children, released in Britain in the first third of the 19th century are treated. The ways of acquisition are considered: the books were given by Vorontsovs’ relatives and friends residing in Great Britain and acquired by M. S. Vorontsov for his son Semyon Mikhaïlovich who continued the family traditions of Bibliophilia.
