Livable City Evaluation System Based on Analytic Hierarchy Process

Abstract

Livable city construction is a product of urban development to post-industrialization. It refers to a city that is relatively livable and is a place of residence with a good living environment, a humanistic social environment, an ecological and natural environment, and a clean and efficient production environment. The second UN Conference on Habitat in 1996 proposed the notion that cities should be habitable human settlements. With the study of the problem of human settlements and environment, the perspectives of people and the depth and breadth of the problems are constantly developing. At the same time, people began to explore the issue of comfortable living in cities from different evaluation index systems. Therefore, from the aspects of social civilization, economic affluence, environmental beauty, resource carrying capacity, cheapness of living, and public safety, this paper comprehensively considers the correlations and differences in all aspects. And by listing indicators and reasonable analysis and using Analytic Hierarchy Process, this paper established a simple and clear mathematical model. By expounding the rationality of the indicators, a comparatively perfect and reasonable urban livability index evaluation system was constructed., By expounding the rationality of the indicators, and a comparatively perfect and reasonable urban livability index evaluation system was constructed, and a relatively good result was obtained by using the actual facts.
