Load balancing steam in the steam distribution network at coking plant
Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2014, Vol 8, Issue 9
Abstract
In this paper, energy consumption for three steam boilers in the coking plant in Iranis investigated by using operating data. In this theoretical study, first of all math models based on graphs and tables of boilers are prepared. Then, equations have been calculated. The results illustrate that energy consumption in steam boilers can be diminished by controlling effective parameter on fuel consumption. After simulation is done, load and energyare 156257.9 kg/hr and 135098 Kwh, respectively that it will be saved 1634496$/yr. Therefore, operating cost and amount of emission can be decreased by controlling amount of fuel and steam load of boilers which are parallels and series in network steam.
