Longitudinal vibration of upper stage and problem of liquid rocket longitudinal stability

Abstract

For a purpose of an analysis of influence of dynamic characteristics of liquid rocket’s third stage on the parameter of payload longitudinal vibrations, mathematical modeling of dynamics linear system “first stage propulsion system – three-staged rocket structure” was carried out. It was shown, that convergence of frequencies of upper stage natural oscillation with dominating frequencies of rocket structure oscillating results to essential increasing in rocket structure mode’s shapes of space vehicle and results to small changing in rocket longitudinal stability margins.
