Luminescent properties of fine-dispersed self-propagating high-temperature synthesized ZnS:Cu,Mg
Journal Title: Semiconductor Physics, Quantum Electronics and Optoelectronics - Year 2017, Vol 20, Issue 2
Abstract
The influence of magnesium impurities on luminescent properties of ZnS:Cu,Mg using obtained by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) has been investigated. Special attention was paid to changes of photoluminescence spectra caused by relaxation processes in ZnS:Cu,Mg-SHS. It was shown that introduction of magnesium into ZnS:Cu-SHS leads to a change in symmetry of ZnS crystal lattice. It leads to relaxation quenching the photoluminescence bands caused by presence of copper impurities in ZnS.

Optical properties of ternary alloys MgZnO in infrared spectrum
Properties of thin films of ternary alloys Mg х Zn 1–х O on the optically-anisotropic Al 2 O 3 substrates in the area of “residual rays” of film and substrate are first investigated using the method of infrared spectrosc...
The charge trapping/emission processes in silicon nanocrystalline nonvolatile memory assisted by electric field and elevated temperatures
In this work, the influence of elevated temperatures on charge trapping in Si nanoclusters located in oxide layer of MOS structure has been comprehensively studied. The samples with one layer of nanocrystals in the oxide...
Metallic nanoparticles (Cu, Ag, Au) in chalcogenide and oxide glassy matrices: comparative assessment in terms of chemical bonding
Principal difference in origin of high-order optical non-linearities caused by metallic nanoparticles such as Cu, Ag and Au embedded destructively in oxide- and chalcogenide-type glassy matrices has been analyzed from th...
Analysis of a quantum well structure optical integrated device
This paper demonstrates theoretical modeling of a quantum well structure optical integrated device. The constituent devices of the developed structure are a Quantum Well Infrared Photodetector (QWIP) to detect the optica...
Structure and Raman spectra of (Cu6PS5I)1–x(Cu7PS6)x mixed crystals
Mixed (Cu6PS5I)1–x(Cu7PS6)x crystals were grown using a direct crystallization technique. Being based on the X-ray diffraction data, their crystal structure was studied, showing face-centred cubic lattice for Cu6PS5I-ric...
