MARDIN POPULATION CENSUS REPUBLIC OF TURKEY BY FIRST RESULTS

Abstract
Turkey's first census in 1926. Census Law was published. 28 In October 1927 the first general census was made in Turkey. In the world at the beginning of the study are summarized information about the census carried out in the Ottoman period and Turkey. The main part of the study is based on the results of the first general population census carried out on October 28, 1927, with reference to the general population of Mardin and its districts, literacy status, population by age groups, beliefs, mother tongue, place of birth, The first general population census carried out in 1927 was a census in line with European standards under the supervision of European experts.
