Mathematical modelling and optimisation of a solar collector performances
Journal Title: Journal of New technology and Materials - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 1
Abstract
Although a lot of research work has been performed in the field of renewable energy, this domain of research has received, with the recent technological developments, a significant turnover both on the theoretical and experimental sides. At low temperatures, the solar collector plays the role of a converter of solar radiation into heat. Our work focuses on the study of the dynamics and thermal transport phenomena in the air gap of a solar collector in order to optimize its performance. The evolution of thermal and dynamic profiles in the air gap is presented in this paper, which allows us to quantify the convective energy losses. The impact of the interposition of partitions in the air gap was analyzed as well. The influence of this new model on convection losses turns out to be significant.

Raman spectroscopic investigation of the effects of heat-treatment and Al, Ce or Eu doping concentration on TiO2 powder crystallization
In this paper, we study the effects of various doping elements (Aluminum, Cerium or Europium) with different contents and of heat-treatment on the structural properties of TiO2 nano-crystalline powders. The sol-gel techn...
Numerical Analysis Of Turbulent Forced-Convection Flow In A Channel With Staggered L-Shaped Baffles
Characteristics of fluid flow and heat transfer are analyzed for a constant property fluid flowing turbulently through a two-dimensional horizontal rectangular cross section channel with staggered, transverse L-shaped ba...
Experimental study of solar drying of Tunisian phosphate: in open sun, under greenhouse and by a parabolic concentrator
This work is part of operating a parabolic concentrator for drying the phosphate. This study is to analyzing the drying of Tunisian phosphate by three separate solar processes. Two experimental devices have been implemen...
1‐formyl‐3‐phenyl‐5‐aryl‐2‐pyrazoline derivatives as corrosion inhibitors of steel in acidic medium: Computational simulation sstudy
Quantum chemical calculations and Molecular dynamic (MD) simulations were performed on two synthesized pyrazoline derivatives namely: 1‐Formyl‐3‐phenyl‐5‐(4‐methylphenyl)‐2‐pyrazoline (P1) and 1‐Formyl‐3‐phenyl‐ 5‐(4‐chl...
Preparation and characterization of CIS thin films obtained by electrodeposition onto ITO and Mo substrates
In this study, thin films of copper and indium selenide (CuInSe2) were electrochemically deposited on ITO glass substrates and Mo films. A three electrodes system is used for in-situ monitoring of the deposition process...
