Measuring organizational commitment and sociological factors affecting it; (Case Study: Arvand Free Zone employees)

Abstract

Based on sociological theories, this article attempts to study the relationship between organizational commitment and variables such as (employee training, motivation at work, job security, organizational commitment, job satisfaction, leadership style, friendship network and organizational culture) address. Due to the specific nature of the agents' organizational commitment in the organization and creating organizational commitment in them, this research is very important. The present study is a survey research where the data have been collected through reliable questionnaires, and using appropriate statistical tests research hypotheses have been analyzed. Results showed that, except for affective commitment, there is no significant relationship between job security and organizational commitment and its continuous and normative dimensions. And there is a significant relationship between each of the independent variables (service training, work motivation, job satisfaction, friendship network and organizational culture) and organizational commitment and its emotional normative dimensions, but there is no significant relationship with continuous commitment. Finally, the relationship of each of these variables can be expressed through organizational structuralism theory, and motivational theories such as exchange theory, theory of successful cases, George Homan's value theory, Adams' Equity Theory, Maslow's basic needs theories, modern theories of systematic analysis of organization especially altruists' theories, and Parson's action theory.
