Socio-economic development at the end of the XX – at beginning of the XXI century provokes significant migration growth in the world. Migration growth is observed in the era of fast-growing globalization labor. As a result, international labor migration policy and its regulation is becoming an urgent issue. However, the implementation of the mechanisms of international labor migration regulation is only possible due to their accurate theoretical background and methods of their use. Therefore, it is important to outline the definition of «the mechanisms of international labor migration regulation», to identify their main components and investigate their peculiarities in the modern domestic economy. Ukraine is fully engaged in global migration and is known to be one of the biggest donor countries in the world. It is a transit country with more than 10 migratory routes. The world practice confirms the importance of strengthening the state regulation of international labor migration in Ukraine. Therefore, the migration policy influences significantly labor potential. It is an integral part of general demographic policy and is seen as an independent element only in order to specify the measures of population movement regulation.
