Mechatronic Modeling And Control of A Doubly-Fed Wind Turbine Induction Generator Using The Bond Graph Approach
Journal Title: IOSR Journals (IOSR Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering) - Year 2017, Vol 12, Issue 6
Abstract
This paper describes a Bond Graph modeling and control of a doubly-fed induction generator driven by a wind turbine and running at variable speed. This type of operation will retrieve at any time the maximum power regardless of the wind speed. Initially, the Bond Graph tool is used to model the doubly-fed induction generator, the real dynamic behavior of this system is taken into account, consequently, final load simulation is more realistic offering benefits and reliable system performance. Thereafter, we will discuss the theoretical development related to the control of the doubly-fed wind turbine generator using the concept of bicausality of Bond Graph based on the wind turbine model presented in a previous work.
