Medical information as an object of interlingual and intercultural interaction

Abstract
The article deals with the problems of rendering medical information embedded in the texts aimed at both healthcare professionals and lay readers. Strategies and tactics of translation caused by the specifics of TT reception, TT addressees’ characteristics and their implicit expectations about the TL medical text’s influence are explored.
