Abstract
(Memes and the free fl ow of information) The number of possibilities the way we can interpret, imitate, recreate them is endless. While memes have been shaping our culture for thousands of years, due to the appearance of the internet we have to face a new factor. The stream of memes in our daily news feed is becoming more and more alarming, the users of social media are becoming irresponsible, uninformed which re-sults in an infl uenceable culture and society. Do memes really rule over the users or vice versa?
