METAPHORICAL COMPOUND WORDS IN MODERN GERMAN

Abstract
The article deals with the metaphorical compound words in Modern German. The article has a close look at the semantic and the structure of metaphorical compounds analyzing the studies of the theory of word formation. It also examines the components of the metaphorical compound words. First of all, the compounds with the proper names are provided in the paper. The expressive and evaluative components of the meaning are under study, too.
