METHAPHORICAL MODEL “HOLIDAY IS WAR” IN SPANISH LINGUISTIC CULTURE

Abstract
The article deals with the features of the representation of the concept FIESTA with another concept of Spanish lin- guistic culture, GUERRA. The carnivalesque is an important extralinguistic factor, which determines interconceptual connections of the concepts FIESTA and GUERRA. The concept FIESTA has a scenario structure as well as a concept GUERRA. In the cognitive pattern “HOLIDAY IS WAR” a Spanish holiday is represented as a war or a battle in the mind of Spanish speakers. In Spanish linguistic culture the metaphorical model “HOLIDAY IS WAR” is widely represented by a number of lexemes with military semantics such as nomination of weapons, military actions, war participants etc.
