METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF THE LITERARY DISCURS INVESTIGATION IN THE COMMUNICATIVE-PRAGMATIC ASPECTS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the problems of the study of literary text in the communicative and pragmatic aspect. The domination of the communicative approach to the definition of the concept of literary text is outlined and the necessity of using the term " literary discourse" is substantiated. Concepts of artistic discourse began to be actively used in the last decade, but the methods of studying the literary text in the communicative-pragmatic aspect need to be clarified. First of all, modern linguistics presents aspects of intertextual communicative interaction – the coverage of the category of intertextuality, as well as the text category of addressee. As for the author’s image, which is implemented in the text content category, this category is, to a lesser extent, represented in the communicative-pragmatic aspect. We believe that this is due to the powerful traditions of systematic structural linguistics, which predetermined the study of the author’s category in the literary text. The only exception is the modern theory of naratology, where the author of the literary text is presented as the subject of speech in the line of the author – narrator – character. The purpose of the article is to determine the main methods and techniques for analyzing artistic discourse within the framework of the communicative-pragmatic approach of the study. The purpose led to the solution of the following tasks: to define the concept of literary discourse; to find out the features of the communicative nature and dialogicity of literary discourse; to substantiate the feasibility of involving a communicative-pragmatic approach to the analysis of literary text; to present the basic methods and directions of linguistic studies of literary discourse. The object of the research is the literary discourse of contemporary Ukrainian prose; subject of research – communicative-pragmatic methods and techniques of study of literary discourse. At the present stage of the development of linguistic studies of literary text, a communicative-pragmatic approach to the analysis of literary text acquires a special significance, which involves interpreting the object of analysis as a discourse. The main methods of analysis of literary discourse are the narrative, discursive and linguistic and pragmatic types of analysis.
