Methods of Characterization in Fariba Kalhor`s Stories

Abstract
One of the most significant elements of the story is character. The author replaces him/her on character`s body, sees what the character sees & feels his/her affections. The character is considered as an imitation like person of the community who is individuated by global insight of the author. In order to get the mind & thoughts of the author, the character analysis of his/her stories and his/her methods of characterization can be noted. One of the most active & successful writers of the recent years in the field of modern Persian narration is Fariba Kalhor. She had an excellent reputation in the field of children`s fictions, and began to tread on the field of adult`s fictions by narrating 3 stories named: End of a man (2011), Start of a woman (2011), and My dear husband (2012). These three stories are significant instances of characterization. Using analytical method and relying on characterization criteria in the present article, it is decided to study the character and characterization in 3 foregoing stories.
