METHODS OF TEACHING PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS TO SOLVE COMPLEX PROBLEMS

Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2025, Vol 4, Issue 2

Abstract

Traditionally, in the process of learning to solve word problems, most students have difficulties in mastering the material, so one of the most important goals in the initial course of mathematics is the selection of appropriate didactic material, techniques and methods aimed at developing the ability to solve mathematical problems. This, in turn, contributes to the formation of knowledge and skills in schoolchildren that are necessary in everyday life when solving certain problem situations. At the first stage of teaching mathematics in primary school, students are introduced to the concept of a mathematical problem, subsequently expanding their knowledge on this topic, children learn to clarify various aspects of the relationships in the life around them. Solving problems allows the child to understand the practical significance of those mathematical concepts that he masters in the initial course of mathematics, gives the opportunity to apply the studied theoretical provisions in practice.
