METHODS OF TRANSFORMATION OF DRAMATIC TEXTS

Abstract

This article analyzes the means of the information transformation as the result of communication in dramatic text. First of all, it considers the author,s image. In the drama the author – it’s me, who presents the text of the drama, constructs dialogues, conducts narration, decides how the plot develops, focusing the recipients’ attention, stops or activates tension, allows to perceive the reality due to the accepted poetics. The author demonstrates his power over the created world explicitly and implicitly, indirectly and directly. The transformation of novel conflict in dramatic texts – transformers may occur in two ways: detalization of the certain storylines and moves; selection, i.e choosing a separate storyline of the primary text, that is, its actualization. The text-transformer may experience significant changes both on the textual level and on the level of the figurative system of the work. As a result of the transition of novel texts into dramatic, we can allocate different levels of transformation: dramatization; adaptation; a work created on the basis of smth; a derivative play (based on some work).
