Journal Title: Eurasian Journal of Family Medicine - Year 2017, Vol 6, Issue 2

Abstract

The intestinal ecosystem is made up of trillions of microorganisms. Under normal circumstances, these microorganisms are altered by nutrition and environmental influences, and nutrition is the most important factor affecting this balance. Our health, behaviors and mood are not only related to what we eat or what we do (lifestyle behaviors) but also connected with what we host at the same time. As a result of observations of epidemiological and metagenomic studies, and with data obtained from different experimental animal models, there is a recent change in the microbiota profile of mental health and behavior in many diseases as well. In this review, it is aimed to lay emphasis on microbiota and degradation of intestinal microflora may be related to many diseases with the progression in molecular technology.
