Minimizing Losses During Natural Gas Transportation
Journal Title: Strojnicky casopis - Journal of Mechanical Engineering - Year 2019, Vol 69, Issue 1
Abstract
The processes of supplying natural gas are accompanied by significant losses. In this regard, the complex problem of minimizing losses and improving the efficiency of energy use is very relevant. Steel pipelines for transportation of oil and gas often cross the tracks or are located parallel to the lines of electric power transmission lines of alternating current. Most dangerous from the corrosive point of view of the combination of the chemical composition of the soil electrolyte and the vagal current density were established.

Detection and Modeling Vibrational Behavior of a Gas Turbine Based on Dynamic Neural Networks Approach
During the gas turbine exploitation the presence of small defects can cause very high vibration amplifications, localized on the components of this rotating machine. For this, a diagnostic process is necessary for deci...
CYCLIC PLASTIC PROPERTIES OF CLASS C STEEL EMPHASIZING ON RATCHETING: TESTING AND MODELLING
Cyclic plasticity modelling of metals needs individual approach. There are specific theories for various metallic materials including mainly phenomenological models, useful for practical applications [1]. However, a ro...
The Effect of Landslide on Gas Pipeline
The present paper deals with the calculation of stresses on the pipeline system embedded on a flexible substrate which is burdened by a landslide. As well as taking into account the probability of the influences acting...
PHENOMENOLOGICAL MATERIAL MODEL OF FOAM SOLIDS
n this contribution a new phenomenological model for pressure loaded foam materials is proposed. The presented relationship between compressive stresses and compressive strains is derived by using simple rheological mo...
Snake Robot Locomotion Patterns for Straight and Curved Pipe
In the paper the locomotion of snake robot is introduced considering locomotion in straight and curved pipe. For the straight pipe locomotion was designed traveling wave locomotion pattern with sine-like wave which exp...
