PHENOMENOLOGICAL MATERIAL MODEL OF FOAM SOLIDS
Journal Title: Strojnicky casopis - Journal of Mechanical Engineering - Year 2015, Vol 65, Issue 1
Abstract
n this contribution a new phenomenological model for pressure loaded foam materials is proposed. The presented relationship between compressive stresses and compressive strains is derived by using simple rheological models. The proposed model contains several parameters. The procedure of their identification and the influence of parameters on a curve shape are also explained. The accuracy of our model is tested and compared with other phenomenological models. These tests have been applied on aluminium and polyurethane foams.

Mechanical Characteristics and Wear Resistance of the Cladding Layers Obtained by Melting of Cored Wires with Simultaneous Vibration of Substrate
A wear proof layer was obtained by applying vibration with a frequency of 100 Hz and amplitude of 0; 70; 300 µm to the cored wire of Fe-Cr-B-C doping system during welding. It was shown that horizontal vibration affect...
Thermal Characteristics of High Temperature Naturally Circulating Helium Cooling Loop
The paper deals with the process properties in terms of the heat transfer, i.e. the thermal performance of the thermal-process units within a helium loop intended for the testing of the decay heat removal (DHR) from th...
Investigation of Defect Effects on Adhesively Bonded Joint Strength Using Cohesive Zone Modeling
In this paper, effects of the defect in an adhesively bonded joint have been investigated using cohesive zone modeling. Consequently, a 3D finite element model of a single lap-joint is constructed and validated with ex...
Adaptive Car Following Model
The vehicle dynamics was a very lot developed in the last twenty years. There is a huge gap in the different vehicle models in this field. Researchers need accurate the car following models because of it. There are sev...
Identification of Fatigue Constants by Means of 3D Method
The conventional method for evaluation of the fatigue constants uses one set of experimental data from strain-controlled uniaxial fatigue tests. However, these constants do not ensure the compatibility conditions. The...
