Abstract
The article highlights an important aspect of manysided activity of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyi – environment protection of Galicia. The author proves that environmental protection of the metropolitan was aimed at strengthening of national revival of the land, had considerable importance for establishing Galicians. self-esteem and led to steady expansion of their spiritual outlook. The article contains a number of archival documents certifying the facts of environmental protection of the Metropolitan in Galicia in 1930-1940.
