MODELING OF MAGNETIC LOSSES OF A SWITCHED RELUCTANCE MOTOR

Abstract

The paper deals with the mathematical model of a switched reluctance motor 3/2, with the stator of an induction motor. Parameters of this model were determined experimentally. The AC voltage of different frequencies was applied to the motor winding. Based on the measurements of the current and voltage, the equivalent resistance and inductance of the motor windings as the function of frequency were determined using the least squares method. The measurements for different rotation angle of the rotor were carried out. The measured resistance was significantly higher than the value of the winding resistance. The model includes "iron losses". They are modeled as the losses of a single turn wound on the rotor core, representing the eddy currents. These losses are dependent on the angle of the rotor rotation relative to the stator. On the basis of the relationship between the equivalent inductance and resistance of the motor (that were measured and specified), the model parameters were determined.
