Modeling Risk and Prevention of West Nile Virus at a Military Installation in the United States using Fuzzy Boolean Logic
Journal Title: IOSR Journal of Dental and Medical Sciences (IOSR-JDMS) - Year 2018, Vol 17, Issue 2
Abstract
Fuzzy Logic and a Fuzzy Logic Control System were used to predict and identify areas for control of arthropod-borne viruses. Bird species and mosquito landing counts were conducted to determine high risk areas for West Nile virus at the Edgewood Area, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, US. The level of risk West Nile Virus varied geographically in the installation. The fuzzy logic control system was developed to identify where and when mosquito control should be conducted to prevent an outbreak of West Nile Virus .

Abstract: Rabies is a potentially fatal disease transmitted by bite of infected animal, primarily dogs. India remains endemic for this disease contributing to about 20000 deaths due rabies yearly. However, simple prevent...
Study of Neonatal Morbidity and Mortality in Very Low Birth Weight Neonates Admitted In Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in a Tertiary Care Centre
Background In recent trends, there is increasing number of babies born with very low birth weight. These VLBW babies are at risk of developing hypoglycemia, sepsis, hyperbilirubinemia, respiratory distress when compared...
Cognitive Assessment in Middle And Elderly Aged Patients Undergoing Non-Cardiac Surgery Using Mini Mental Status Examination Score in Tertiary Care Hospital- A Prospective Observational Study.
Background: Post operative cognitive decline is more commonly seen in elderly aged patients undergoing noncardiac surgery. The Mini Mental Status Examination (MMSE) score is routinely used as a screening test to assess t...
