Models of management of network elements in accordance with the TMN ideology

Abstract

he article defines the models of control of elements of the active and passive network in accordance with the ideology of TMN. The presented models differ in the absence of the operator of the control algorithms and the set of the most acceptable targets inherent in the active element in the control system. It is shown that the control algorithms may vary depending on the set of elements of the network. Namely, control of only passive, only active and combined subset of elements. Managing and monitoring a manager in a polygon model for monitoring and managing network elements with each network element takes place in the form of an ordered survey. This system is a kind of queuing system with several queues and with one or more common servicing devices. The order of maintenance of elements in the survey system is considered. The queue polls are conventionally divided into static and dynamic ones. The most interesting and practical point of view is the dynamic order of service queue. The disciplines of service of queue of applications are studied and the average waiting time in each queue is determined. The order of control of the state of the network element of the telecommunication network in the conditions of incomplete information is determined. this control procedure begins with the manager's discovery of the fact that the network element is interrupted, the test requests are performed on it, the calculation of the state of the forward and backward transport channels, the calculation of the most possible microsystem of the network element and the routing of control commands depending on the received values. Attention is drawn to the fact that the transmission channel models receiving control-diagnostic information about the state of the network elements have not yet been studied.
