MODERN ALTERNATIVE MODIFICATIONS HOMO ECONOMICUS: NEO-AUSTRIAN SCHOOL AND INSTITUTIONALISM

Abstract

Based on the analysis of the main theoretical philosophical and economic positions of the Neo-Austrian economic school and institutionalism representatives, the specific character and peculiarities of modern alternative modifications of homo economicus are revealed and developed. It is shown that the Neo-Austrian economic man model is aimed at a deep analysis of fundamental problems (market nature, capital, economic cycles, state social and economic policy, etc.). The institutional model, on one hand, is characterized by an economic behavior change, and on the other hand, it keeps the routine survival patterns. It has been determined that opportunistic utility maximization is peculiar to all participants of socioeconomic processes.
