MODERN APPROACH TO RESEARCH OF BIOGENIC CORROSION OF SEWAGE COLLECTOR

Abstract

The work is devoted to the study of biogenic corrosion of sewer collectors. The analysis of newest works, approaches, practices, devoted to the study of corrosion processes of sewerage collectors has been carried out. The analysis is based on the researches of the scientists of the near and far abroad countries. According to the results of the analysis, to formulate a generalized approach to the study of the biogenic corrosion process of drainage networks. It has been established that microorganism populations and their vital activities are the main cause of biogenic corrosion, which subsequently leads to a decrease in the operational reliability of sewerage collectors. The results of most experimental studies indicate that changes in temperature and acidity of a solution of sulfuric acid contribute to the control of biogenic corrosion. Laboratory tests of multicomponent epoxy coatings of various compositions indicate that they, to varying degrees, have an effect on increasing the durability of sewage collector designs. The accuracy of forecasting the development of biogenic corrosion is considered through the prism of the received evidence regarding the pipeline. The results obtained by researchers on the presence and degree of exposure to biogenic corrosion of sewerage collectors can be useful for substantiating potential problems of the areas of distribution networks for the drainage for further work on the restoration of their design strength.
