Modern Approaches to Medico-Social Examination and Rehabilitation of Disabled Patients due to Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract

The results of the analysis on the primary disability due to diabetes are given. Based on the obtained data we developed criteria for determining the severity of diabetes mellitus, gave recommendations on the definition of disability based on the type of diabetes, severity, presence of complications and comorbidities. A complex program of medical and social rehabilitation of disabled persons due to diabetes is provided.
