Modern approaches to organization of the labor protection in the mental activity

Abstract
Aim. To study the approaches to organization of the labor protection in the mental activity. Materials and methods. The analytical, comparative and logical methods, as well as the content analysis were used. Results. The mental activity of employees refers to complex activities due to the fact that it is accompanied by neuro-emotional strain and leads to fatigue. It is characterized by the following physiological features: disorder of metabolic processes, vasoconstriction of the limbs and vasodilation of the internal organs, decrease in the level of sugar in the blood and alkaline reserves, increase of the content of inorganic phosphorus, cholesterol, and creatine. According to the state sanitary norms and rules the indicators that characterize the intensity of work include intellectual, sensory and emotional stresses, the degree of monotony of loads and the mode of operation. According to these indicators the class and the degree of gravity and labor intensity, and measures to increase the productivity of the mental work and prevention of fatigue are determined. Conclusions. An important condition for improving productivity and preventing overfatigue is the rational mode of work and rest
