Modern trends for the development of the hotel business

Abstract

Introduction. The article analyzes the strategies of active influence on the external environment (horizontal integration, vertical integration, concentric diversification), realized through various forms of associations, connections and transactions. The strategy of horizontal integration, which is carried out when there is an acquisition or merger with an enterprise or the main competitor operating in another segment of the market. Also analyzed is the strategy of vertical integration, which shows that the company is expanding in the areas of activity associated with the promotion of the product on the market. Purpose is to study the innovative trends of tourism development, the advantages of creating an innovative cluster model for the development of regions based on synergistic effects, general development strategies, growth strategies: market expansion, vertical. Results. The hotel and restaurant business is explored as the main component of the tourism industry. It is noted that the hotel and restaurant business contains a complex of services for tourists and is a key factor determining the prospects for tourism development. It is noted that in order to successfully solve a complex of tasks for the maintenance of guests, management of institutions with the preservation of strong competitive positions need to master the professional knowledge and constantly improve them. Clusters in the field of hotel business, which can be formed on the basis of self-organization as a result of natural integration and cooperation in relation to the provision of placement services, or through strategic planning, carried out by regional or sectoral management bodies, are analyzed. Conclusion. Consequently, the modern tendencies of the hotel industry require further study. It is thanks to the cooperation of state authorities, scientific and research institutions, travel agencies, hotel and restaurant complexes, information t centers, transport companies, and insurance companies increasing the competitiveness of enterprises. The advantages of creating an innovative cluster model.
