Molecular sequence similarity and motif prediction studies on S. Oryzae-outer membrane component of tripartite multidrug resistance system and Tribolium castaneum- translocase of outer membrane using bioinformatics method

Abstract

In bioinformatics, sequence alignment is a way of arranging the sequences of DNA, RNA, or protein in order to identify regions of similarity that may be a consequence of functional, structural or evolutionary relationships between the sequences. In this research we deliver the molecular relationship between the two species. The protein sequences share their amino acids sequence homology high in S. Oryzae - Outer membrane component of tripartite multidrug resistance system and Tribolium castaneum-translocase of outer membrane. We also introduce the novel motif sequences present in the two species. This motif is a potential candidate for future protein modeling and drug docking studies. In our results we prove that both the target proteins are similar, hence we suggest that the same drug can be used for both targets for future insilico docking studies.
