It is determined that the problem of staff motivation continues to be one of the most complex management functions. The key components that have a significant influence on the construction of an effective system of labor motivation are identified and presented. Modern approaches to the treatment of the Maslow hierarchy of needs are presented. It is noted that significantly reduces the motivational potential of "professional burnout". This phenomenon occurs if a person estimates the results of his work as insignificant; in cases when the employee is not satisfied with his professional / official growth; in the conditions of uncertainty (for example, due to lack of clear management requirements) with poor work organization (overload or underload) due to negative experiences caused by unsatisfactory relationships with colleagues. It is concluded that motivation is the main stimulus to the economic activity of any individual, that is, in choosing a profession, achieving a high level of qualification, achieving a high level of well-being. Also, motivation is the main tool of the enterprise to increase the competitiveness of the labor potential of the enterprise, improve the quality of products and increase labor productivity. The easiest way to rally the team is to conduct a series of activities related to sports, play, study or creativity. This whole process is called the fashionable term "team building."
