MOTIVATIONAL READINESS OF FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS TO IMPLEMENT INNOVATIONS INTO THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of motivational readiness of future primary school teachers to implement innovations into the educational process. The modern educational system of the country, like the whole Ukrainian society, is going through a difficult period of renovations. Today a school needs a teacher who not only focuses on educational innovations and implement them into his/her work, he/she masters different technologies of teaching the subject, but he/she is also capable to use a creative approach, to realize him/herself in the professional activity and to make independent innovation search, he/she has a high level of readiness to carry out innovative pedagogical activity that mobilizes a person to create innovations, master and use them. The problem of general pedagogical innovation is the subject of research by Yu. Babanskyi, V. Bondar, I. Havrysh, I. Pidlasyi, V. Slastonin, I. Trubavina, N. Yusufbekova and others. The purpose of the article is to highlight the problem of motivational readiness of future primary school teachers to implement innovations into the educational process. On analyzing literary sources, the essence of key concepts is clarified. The content of innovations is revealed. The classification of innovations in education (methodological, institutional, informative, technological) is presented. The motivational and practical readiness of the teacher for innovative activity is considered. Levels that represent the structure of teacher's readiness for innovation (adapted, reproductive, productive, creative) are determined; the principles, which innovative activities should correspond to, are shown. The criteria of the teacher's readiness for innovation in the educational process, the professional and personal qualities of the teacher are outlined, and it is found out that motivational readiness for innovations is an important quality of a teacher as a professional. The author concluded the innovation is an important characteristic of a society that ensures its competitiveness. It is proved that education should train graduates who are capable of creating a society of the future and have the properties of projection. In such conditions, it is important to replenish a new generation of educators who are capable of completing innovative activity at the necessary level of their methodological culture. So the basis of such changes is the modelling of the innovative context of teachers’ future professional activities.
