MTCA.4 - modular measurement and control system with sub-nanosecond time synchronization and support for RF applications
Journal Title: International Journal of Electronics and Telecommunications - Year 2016, Vol 62, Issue 3
Abstract
The Micro TCA platform is rapidly developing modular technology for measurement and control systems. There are available versions for laboratories, military and aviation. The newest release of the standard (MTCA.4) supports high frequency RF applications like particle accelerators, radio, telecom and radar. The PERG group together with partners from Europe and Poland takes active part in development process, i.e. implementation of sub-ns\cite{IEEEhowto:sync} synchronization, event and RF distribution system over fibre networks. It enhances significantly capabilities of MTCA platform in distributed measurement systems (i.e. passive radars) and enables fully deterministic operation of hard real time control systems.

A Minimum-Spanning-Tree-Inspired Algorithm for Channel Assignment in 802.11 Networks
Channel assignment in 2.4 GHz band of 802.11 standard is still important issue as a lot of 2.4 GHz devices are in use. This band offers only three non-overlapping channels, so in crowded environment users can suffer fro...
Quadrature Mapping, Saleh’s Representation, and Memory Models
In the literature, Saleh’s description of the AM/AM and AM/PM conversions occurring in communication power amplifiers (PAs) is classified as a representation without memory. We show here that this view must be revised. T...
Network Steganography in the DNS Protocol
This paper presents possibility of using of the DNS (Domain Name System) protocol for creating a simplex communication channel between a malware-infected computer with a compromised DNS server. The proposed channel can b...
The Influence of Sintering Conditions on the Inkjet Printed Paths Resistance
The sintering of elements performed with the inkjet printing technique is one of the stages of flexible printed circuit manufacturing process. It is a crucial factor to determining the printed paths conductivity playing...
Comparison of Indoor/Outdoor, RSSI-Based Positioning Using 433, 868 or 2400 MHz ISM Bands
This paper compares accuracy of indoor positioning systems using one of three selected ISM bands: 433, 868 or 2400 MHz. Positioning is based on Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI), received by majority of ISM RF m...
