Mukowiscydoza – wyzwanie także dla laryngologa

Abstract

The paper presents basic information about the genetically determined disease of chronic progressive course – cystic fibrosis. It discusses the clinical symptoms, which concern mainly the respiratory and gastrointestinal tract, the diagnostic criteria and main principles of the treatment. The second part of the article raises the issue of chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyposis in these patients, with particular emphasis on issues of the upper respiratory tract involvement in patients after lung transplantation.
