MULTIDIMENSIONALITY OF THE CRIMINAL LAW: UPDATING OF SOME SPECIFIC CHARACTERISTICS AS A PRECISION FOR STUDY OF CRIMINAL LAW NORMATIVITY

Abstract
The article is devoted to the consideration of the essence of criminal law. It is argued that criminal law is a multidimen- sional phenomenon that does not coincide with the content of a criminal law. To clarify its essence, it is expedient to use such characteristics (parameters) as the structure, properties, and features of criminal law, where the structure and properties represent the „spirit” criminal law, and signs – the „letter” of criminal law. It is proved that the priority among the presented characteristics of criminal law belongs to the properties of criminal law, which are the basis of its structure and features.
