Multifocal Choroiditis and Panuveitis in a Patient with Von Willebrand's Disease
Journal Title: Scholars Journal of Medical Case Reports - Year 2016, Vol 4, Issue 5
Abstract
We present a case of multifocal choroiditis and panuveitis in a 69-year-old woman with von Willebrand's disease. Vitreous hemorrhage, anterior chamber inflammation and iris neovascularization were observed in both eyes. Funduscopic examination revealed multiple retinochoroidal lesions. To our knowledge, no previous report has described inflammatory ocular disease in a patient with von Willebrand's disease. We discuss the possible mechanisms for this association. Keywords: multifocal choroiditis and panuveitis, von Willebrand's disease.
