Multivariate statistical modeling in the study of processes in the technical processing of metals

Abstract

The dependences of the wear resistance of the cutting tool on the machining regimes in the SDS are established. Multifactor mathematical modeling was used to study the complex process of metal machining taking into account the influence of SOTS. For trouble-free operation of all parts and components during a given resource, it is necessary to constantly improve the quality of products of machine-building enterprises by improving the technology of machining machine parts. It should be born in mind that the development of modern machine building is accompanied by the development of new structural, heat-resistant and wear-resistant steels and alloys with more strength properties. In an accessible form, the theory of checking multivariate statistical models on the basic quality criteria is described and examples of its application are given in the study of the influence of lubricating-cooling technological fluids (COTS) on the process of mechanical processing of metals. The results of the study of the regularities of the change in the stability of the metal cutting tool, energy-force parameters under different modes and types of machining in various SOTCs are presented. The technological efficiency of the SOTC was evaluated in operations of turning, drilling and face milling. In experiments, the task was set to identify the possible effect of alloying elements of steels and their hardness on the effectiveness of the manifestation of the effect of polymer COTS. In all cases, the effect of chemically active elements created in the cutting zone, and primarily hydrogen, on technological processes associated with the acceleration of high plastic deformations and the destruction of the material. In this, obviously, one of the main reasons for the high efficiency of polymer-containing SOTS. A mathematical model of the experimental results of the wear resistance of the cutting tool on the parameters of machining and COTS is developed. Thus, the analysis of the properties of the mathematical models obtained should be considered good and the models can be used to study the cause-effect and structural relationships between the factors and the quality criteria of the technological process.
