MUSEUM OF “LEMKIVSHCHYNA” ASSOCIATION IN SANOK – A CONTRIBUTION TO HISTORY OF POLISH AND UKRAINIAN ARCHAEOLOGY IN INTERWAR PERIOD

Abstract
The article is devoted to archaeological collection of former Museum of “Lemkivshchyna” Association in Sanok. The museum existed in 1931–1944 and its main object of an activity was gathering the artefacts connected with Ruthenian Lemkivshchyna. On the basis of available archives we can precise and verify a lot of information about various archaeological artefacts from Sanok and its neighbourhood, which were preserved in museum’s collection. These data shows also that museum employees with a vengeance work to recognise of San basin foretime, also by small archaeological excavations.
