MUSIC EDUCATION IN ANCIENT GREEK

Abstract

Greek ideal of education mainly BC VIII-VI has occurred in centuries. This training "gym" and "music" by the people, "the all-round development" or "harmonic development of body and soul as a whole" was aiming. This training opinion now began to be enough, then it needs to be supported by new elements emerged. Here, therefore, the development of the education system and the theory of real necessity thoughts were heard. This aspect of the Sophists, predicted the development of education in terms of language and rhetorical elements to foresee and so were based on political objectives in education. This is why the Sophists, the first time "didactic school" are formed. Christianization of the ancient era, with the education and training system was rejected in part, reversed in part, and partly with new elements were considered completed. Thus ancient "paideia" a kind of preparation (propedeutik) taking the shape of steps, "the all-round development" Greek ideal of education whose mission, was now completely deserted. The Greeks of ancient Greek music was holding a lot of space in the inner and outer life. Harvest, marriage, funerals, feasts, physical education, worship given by the Greeks to mean everything music and words, was different from the present. He was taking up all literary culture. İn fact, in the sense it meant dancing and poetry.
